Scanned Felt Tip Drawing

Image
For this project we had to create a drawing with black felt tip then scan and then color it in on photoshop. With the very helpful random number generator I chose a song, and took some lyrics from the song and created my base image. I tried a new way to shade with this and I am really happy with how this turned out! I liked that I was able to actually draw with a pen this time ;)

9 Panel Comic

Image
This Project was to create a comic that was 9 panels. I chose to do my comic on horses hiding from their rider coming to catch them. (It has happened to me and is VERY annoying) I created the horses, then the background, and the comic took form. The horses took the longest to create. I like how this turned out.

Colored/Shaded Scene of Choice

Image
This project was to select a background, and 3 other elements and create a scene containing them. I chose the park, a man I made blind, a dog, another man, and an axe. My story to go along with this semi graphic piece is: The blind man was walking his dog in the park when he wandered into a crime scene and stopped to rest on a bench, unknown to him that there was a dead body next to him. I had fun making this piece. (Im not a serial killer in training I swear)

Bird Coloring Page Assignment

Image
The bird coloring page assignment was to take a coloring page of a bird, and use feathers to create the bird as if It was colored. I chose to "color" a blue jay. I actually did create my own feathers because I could not find actual blue jay feathers. I created a mountainous background because Im that extra. I liked how this assignment turned out.

Kaleidoscope Assignment

Image
This assignment was to take a kaleidoscope or a zendoodle and color it in. This was tedious to work on but overall I like how it turned out. I chose a horse because I love them and have been riding horses since I was three years old. The mane is rainbow and the actual horse was white and grey. I liked doing this assignment.

Where's Waldo?

Image
This project was to basically make a collage of different images of your favorite things and interests, but, theres a catch. Every piece you put on the collage you have to remove the background for, which was a bit annoying every time you found an image. You also somewhere in the collage had to put a "waldo" with your face on it. This had me teach myself how to convert image modes and it was fun to throw all my interests together.

Albrecht Dürer Project

Image
For this project I had to chose an image, cut it out, and make it look like  Albrecht Dürer woodcut print. I chose two mustangs fighting and applied the graphic pen filter and used the wax crayon on charcoal paper that I later darkened on the background to make the horses stand out.

Edward Gorey

Image
This project had us create a image using the cookie cutter and other images.  This is modeled after Edward Gorey's alphabet series of paintings. I chose to do an underwater scene. This project was fun and useful because it cemented the knowledge of how to take the backgrounds off images and using the move tool.

Celebrity Coloring Page

Image
For this project we had to contour a celebrity. I chose Josh Dun from Twenty One Pilots as I love the band and I couldn't find a good photo of the band Fall Out Boy, and I did manage to find one of the drummer from Twenty One Pilots. (I think the drummers are amazing and work the hardest.
